MARK RICHARD YURESKO

Mark Richard Yuresko, 59, of Royal Palm Beach, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Marijan and Frances (Passantino) Yuresko.

Mark was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for 26 years before retirement. He loved golf and traveling but was especially fond of all music and played multiple instruments.

Mark's memory will be cherished by his loving wife of eight years, Carol Diane (Lampella) Yuresko; children, John Partridge and Keenan Fox; grandchildren, Ivy Fox and Jayda Fox; father, Marijan Yuresko; brother, Steven (Beverly) Yuresko; and many other family members along with a host of dear friends.

A visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Palms West Funeral Home with a service beginning at 6:00 PM. We, it's over! The 40th Reunion was a big hit!

Thanks to everyone that attended and supported the Reunion!
The hall looked fabulous, the music and food was terrific!

Classmates came from Colorado, Massachussets, Maryland, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Montana, Minnesota, California, and Alaska.

The Class of 1969 had a nice turnout given the short notice mailing, to only a short list (about half) of their original Class. Ray Deluca and Charlie Grandi will be looking for help to continue to locate missing classmates for future and interim reunions. If you would like to help, send an email to

All total, we had 170+ attendees! For 30-40 minutes AFTER the music ended, and the bar was rolled away there were 30-40 classmates still lingering around! This Reeunion could have gone on for a few more HOURS!

The 45th Reunion, judging by the turnout at other schools will be a BIG Reunion.

We have directories printed, and after we catch our breath a little, we'll securely post online somewhere, or make it available by email to those that were not able to attend.

Classmates are already planning interim events, as this was too good of a time to wait 5 years again!

In fact, some are planning to attend the CCHS vs. Paul Vl football game, Wed. evening before Thanksgiving AT PAUL Vl High School.

And others are already talking about an ALL FLORIDA (IN Florida of course) Reunion for Classmates in the South-Southeast

Linda Schilling has created a photo album at Picassa. This has been updated with about 170 photos. Feel free to add to this album, and identify classmates in the "comments" section. We'll probably add tags to the pictures a little later.

REUNION UPDATE - SAVE THE DATE

The Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 date looks pretty firm now...

we are taking the larger room, at the Grand Versailles Ballroom in the Quality Inn at Rt 38 and Rt 73 in Maple Shade. Now we must guarantee a larger turnout ... (sweating). The smaller room would be too crowded if we get the turnout we think. We hear that the "40th's" are BIG

The larger ballroom is 6,000 square feet! has a huge dance floor! the room will accomodate 400 people!

Looks like we'll have a cash bar (drinks are reasonable), and buffet which should keep costs down. There are rooms to rent for those that would like to stay. It should go 5 hours, from 7pm to midnite.

our 1st mailing was always around May; we think getting the word out this early will give people more time to plan.

The word of mouth will be important since we only have a limited number of email addresses, plus some others on classmates (we are not even sure if people read the email from classmates?). If you forward the Reunion info to anyone, let us know so we don't waste time trying to locate and contact folks that already know about the reunion.

We are looking for any members of Class of 1969 that would like to head up a Reunion Committee for that class; they could attend our next meeting and we can help them get started.

Fabulous Croce Brothers Band

Remo and company really put on a GREAT show the night before Thanksgiving. I asked Pat to let me know their schedule for any upcoming appearances.

I think there were 7 pieces in the band, and they played non stop except for one 20-30 minute break.

I stayed longer than I thought I would, (1 am), and would have stayed longer, but by that hour I seemed to be the oldest patron. the music was still going strong when I left!

This is still Friday next year; however the Columbus Day date seemed to conflict with quite a few people.

We will be previewing the facilities next week. We have pretty much decided on a cash bar to keep the costs down, and since some folks don't drink at all; besides their drink prices are reasonable.

The Class of 1969 once again is invited. If you know of anyone in that class that would like to coordinate, organize or contact classmates, we will be happy to help them.

It's Back: CCHS Class of 1970 - 40th Reunion

We met last week for the 1st time to discuss plans for the 40th Reunion, in 2010

The next and future meetings are at the high school.

Next is Nov. 18th Wed at 7:00 pm; ALL are welcome. Go in the rear entrance near the cafeteria, and go straight down the hallway to a conference room on the right (across from the auditorium entrance), at 7pm

Dr. John, Dorina, Judi (Prettyman) Diepold, Mike Sinclair, Joe Alibrando, Pat (Tish) Corbett and myself were at the 1st meeting. Pete Perno was out of town on business, but should be at the next meeting. Jane Sirna and Linda Shilling have offered to help out - thanks!

We are leaning toward a hotel site so folks can get a room and stay the night. The last hotel reunion was the 20th Reunion, and we had a 'hospitality' suite afterwards. Friday night will probably be the night, since weddings take up the Saturdays, and are double the expense.

The weekend of Columbus Day-2010 is being discussed. Let us know if that is a conflict with any plans you may have next year.

We discussed:

Drinks: 2 free drink tickets, beer and wine only w/ byob, cash bar, or open bar (with reduced, negotiated prices?)
Sit down dinner or buffet.
Dress: not formal, but business attire, business casual, or casual.
Mailings usually don't go out until May and July, so we are trying to see how many we can reach early on via email, and word of mouth.

The other 240 people are via mail only - we would like to know how many of these are still in touch with you?
We are looking at the Quality Inn-Versailles Conference Center in Maple Shade, where Rt73 and Rt38 meet.
Last reunion we invited teachers and their spouses (or guest), at no charge. Only one attended. A few others would have attended, except for conflicts in their schedule.
A Summer reunion was dismissed due to vacation conflicts, and a Thanksgiving weekend reunion was not considered due to children returning home from school etc.
I sent Craigslist a suggestions for a "Reunion" category.

I just heard about this, I was told he had a heart attack in his office at the school just after retuning from a class trip to Florida. I understand there was a very nice article in the Courier Post also...

TERRANOVA, LEONARD A. JR.
Suddenly on March 18, 2008; of Marlton, NJ; age 65 years.

Devoted father of Leonard A. III and his wife Michelle Grimley, David M. and his wife Christine, and Matthew J. Terranova; Loving grandfather of Julia Grace and Olivia Nicole; Dear brother of Maryann Livolsi. Beloved nephew of Josephine and Anna Lamaina and Anthony and Marie Terranova. Also survived by his former wife Regina Terranova, and dear friend Charles E. Middleton, Jr., as well as many nephews, friends and co-workers.

Mr. Terranova was Vice Principal at Cherry Hill East High School for 35 years. Prior to that, he was a member of the administration and staff at Camden Catholic High School for 10 years. Mr. Terranova was a 1959 graduate of Camden Catholic High School and member of the Alumni Association, and a graduate of Villanova University, where he received his Master's Degree in Education. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation Monday from 5:30 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Peter Celestine, 402 Kings Highway North in Cherry Hill, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, 367 East Street Road, Trevose, PA 19053, or to the Leonard A. Terranova Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Performing Arts, Cherry Hill High School East, 1750 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003.

Dave's 2nd Performance at the Collins House

Dave performed again at the Collins house, once again attended by a nice group from our Class.
Everyone had a good time. Customers at the restaurant told me he was by far the best performer yet at this restaurant.

Afterwards we stopped at the new Maple Bowl where Rick and Denise Caruso's daughter, Ashley tends bar. Another good time!

The day after Christmas we kept it going by meeting at Remo Croce's "Kings Row Billiards". What a nice lounge they have. Richly appointed, good sports tvs, nice music and a quiet atmosphere, and of course Remo tending bar (Remo works Mon to Friday 4pm-2am).

Dave returns to the Collins House New Year's Eve. Look for him as a regular on Thursdays after the New Year, more info on that will follow.
